AFRICAN MOVEMENT FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN IN SUPPORT OF PROFESSOR C. L. SSALI.

                                                 WORLD AIDS DAY
 

AFRICAN SCIENTIST PROFESSOR C L SSALI, PERSECUTED BY THE UGANDAN GOVERNMENT FOR DEVELOPING A HEALTH FOOD SUPPLEMENT WHICH HAS SAVED THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF HIV AND AIDs PATIENTS IN UGANDA.

The African United Action Front (UK) DEPLORES THE ACTIONS OF THE Ugandan government and in particular the National Drug Authority, which for the past nine years has been undermining the patriotic scientific work of Professor (Dr) Charles Ssali for Uganda and Africa, and his work for the International community.  On June 7th 1999, an insidious action of the National Drug Authority of Uganda, (the same authority which the Ugandan police raided recently for suspected drug offenses), culminated in the persecution of Professor Dr Charles Ssali, who was summarily de-registered as a practicing doctor in Uganda. This was simply because he dared to try and help mainly poverty-stricken HIV and AIDs sufferers who cannot afford the expensive and largely toxic drugs manufactured in Europe and the USA.

Professor Dr C.L. Ssali is a Pioneering research scientist who, for over 25 years, has made major scientific discoveries for successfully treating a number of disabling conditions  affecting mostly the poor and the under nourished in “developing”countries around the world.

Three of his many scientific achievements to date, in addition to the treatment for the AIDS/HIV virus and other illness are:

1.  ATROPHIC RHINITIS:  This condition causes a smelly nose and suffers are shunned by others. Before Dr Ssali’s treatment there was no known curative method of treatment that was effective for this disabling condition. Praise for Dr Ssali’s discoveries,  has come from as far away as Malaysia and India for relieving suffering in those countries.

2.  RHINO SCLEROMA: It is a condition that distorts the face, nose and throat of an individual who is affected, to make one look extremely ugly and frightening and if it is not treated will result in death.  Dr Ssali research and discovery of treatment for this condition created a breakthrough in the scientific community which had no known effective method of treatment for those afflicted.  Dr Ssali standardised the treatment for Scleroma and his method is the one used in textbooks as a standard treatment till today.

3  LARYNGO TRACHEOBRONCHITIS. This is a condition that affects children between the age of 2-5 years causing, respiratory obstruction due to inflammation in the throat, nose and lungs.  The original way of treating this condition was to put a tube called tracheotomy, allowing breathing to continue ,otherwise the child would die.  Dr Ssali’s research provides a new method which treats this condition successfully without using the previous method.  Tracheotomy  used to cause permanent damage and scars in the breathing passage.
 

Dr Ssali attained the highest degree in Medicine and Surgery as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon,(this body has recently joined the attack on Professor Ssali by withdrawing his membership under the guise of non-payment of membership fees). He has worked in hospitals in Uganda,  Kenya,  Saudi Arabia, England and Scotland, in a senior capacity and as a consultant with responsibility for teaching medical students.

Dr Ssali is a leading  Ear Nose and Throat specialist and has presented his papers at international conferences.  He has also published many papers of his research, discoveries and treatments in scientific journals around the world

In fact, it was because of Professor Dr Ssali’s concerns for the suffering poor that led to his ground  breaking research for his treatment of the AIDS/HIV virus and other illnesses. It was clear to him that those in the field of AIDS/HIV virus research had achieved no effective treatment for this condition, which was rapidly spreading throughout the world and Africa in particular, amongst  the 15-45 year age group.

Professor Dr Ssali developed the Mariandina pill combinations as food supplements which can be used to build the immune system of HIV and AIDs sufferers.  The Mariandina pill has proven to be a very successful method of combating the debilitating effect of HIV, which destroys the immune system of the patients.

Professor Ssali has never claimed that Mariandina is a cure for AID/HIV virus, he has merely asserted the Mariandina pill is capable of retarding the ability of the disease to undermine the human immune system.  A high percentage of the 18,000 patients that Professor Ssali has treated, confirmed this assertion.

Incredibly Mariandina is 100% herbal (in fact it is made up of 28 herbs from around the world)
and as such is non-toxic, which adds to its attraction, as AID/HIV sufferers who take the supplement, do not have to suffer the effects of toxic drugs attacking their immune system, in conjunction with the attacks already being withstood by the disease itself.

It therefore, seems incredible that the Ugandan government should seek to destroy the efforts of Professor Dr Ssali, when all the evidence points to the fact that the Mariandina pill, (which incidentally is available in many countries around the world as a food supplement), has been approved  by the Ministry of Fisheries and Food in the United Kingdom after vigorous trials.
It is a powerful, home-grown solution to the AIDS/HIV pandemic.

The African United Action Front (UK) calls on the Ugandan Government to stop this madness, to examine the facts, use their moral judgement, and listen to the voices of the Ugandan people, who mostly support Professor Ssali. The Ugandan Government must  bring an end to this thinly disguised plot to destroy the Mariandina pill and the clinic where Dr Ssali treats his patients that have been devastated by the AIDS/HIV virus.  The African United Action Front (UK) calls on the Ugandan Government to stop acting as agents for neo-colonialism and multinational pharmaceutical aggression and support their own, home-grown talent.

The African United Front (UK) calls on the Ugandan Government to:

· Stop persecuting Professor Dr Charles Ssali;
· Re-instate Professor  Dr Charles Ssali as a practicing doctor of Uganda;
· Lift the ban on the Mariandina pill;
· To release the Mariandina stocks which are being held by Customs officials of the Ugandan government;
· To reassure themselves of the suitability of the Mariandina pill by undertaking any independent trials of the food supplement, as Professor Ssali has attempted to encourage from the onset.

Until the Ugandan government stops its persecution of Professor Ssali, the African United Action Front (UK) and other like-minded organizations around the world, which seek an end to the political, cultural and economic acts of oppression of developing countries, will not cease to expose the Ugandan authorities for its callous act of oppression.

Dr Professor Ssali is truly a man of the people and great forces are ganging up, determined to stop him.

With your support they will not succeed, but remember the stakes are high - one of Africa’s well known doctors, Dr Drobo of Ghana, who had a cure for  the AIDS/HIV virus,  has mysteriously died, after a trip to Japan.
